Taal Tap

1. The cycle plays and the beads light up beat by beat. Tap on every beat — the big pad, the stage, or the space bar.
2. Scoring is by timing error: ≤40 ms perfect · ≤80 ms great · ≤150 ms ok · later = miss.
3. Two full cycles (20 or 32 taps depending on the taal), then your accuracy verdict.
4. Slow it down or speed it up with the BPM slider — accuracy counts either way.

Beat 1 of a taal is the sam — where every cycle lands and every soloist returns. Train your ear to feel it coming and you can play with anyone, anywhere. That's not a metaphor: our students jam with tabla players in their first month.
